Pick the terminal when the diff is local, uncommitted, or on a machine with no github access, when you want a no-key model via ollama, or when the job is worktrees. Pick the web when the repo lives on github and you want to ask about a pr or a branch without cloning it, keep several repos open as tabs, or want the log graph, the pr list, and the rebase plans to walk. Keys never cross between the two.
